As an ovarian cancer survivor, I will race in 50 triathlons in all 50 states by 50-years-old to raise $100,000 for ovarian cancer research. This campaign is self inspired, self orchestrated and 100% self funded. In addition, all in-kind donations are turned into cash donations by me in the same name of the person who donates. I race for women who have lost their battle, women undergoing treatment and women yet to be diagnosed.

Hills, Hills and More Hills

Went to my mom's house in Westchester this past weekend. She lives on a hill which has the reputation of being the highest point in this particular little town. I used the opportunity for some hill training. A six mile run up six significant hills and boy, is my butt sore! I have been feeling every step since Sunday morning. Today is officially the "second day soreness" day so I am hoping tomorrow is a better day. Truth to tell, my swim felt good and I am looser after. Well, I thought I was in pretty good shape but clearly, I am not hill-ready. Luckily I have two months before my first race. Humbling experience for sure. Stay tuned. Hopefully in another month, the hills will be a piece of cake.
