As an ovarian cancer survivor, I will race in 50 triathlons in all 50 states by 50-years-old to raise $100,000 for ovarian cancer research. This campaign is self inspired, self orchestrated and 100% self funded. In addition, all in-kind donations are turned into cash donations by me in the same name of the person who donates. I race for women who have lost their battle, women undergoing treatment and women yet to be diagnosed.

Road Trip For The Bike

This is what my bike looks like all packed up and ready to go. It's a beast of a case! A quick trip to the UPS store and my stress is reduced considerably. At 70 lbs. I have that case packed to the gills with all my gear. Not only does it keep things more tightly secured but it means I can walk on the flight with carry-on only and a change of clothes. Stress-free.... well, almost. Of course, my bike needs to arrive safely (I track it daily) and it needs to be put together (I ship it to a bike store in case anything goes wrong en route). Then I need to rent or borrow a car large enough to fit the bike and case.... oh yeah... and then there is the RACE, the dismantling and the shipping it home. But that's not today. Today my bike got shipped. Stage 1 complete. 10 days until Texas.
